Resident Advisor

Resident Advisor

Currently seeking Resident Advisors for our luxury drug and alcohol treatment center in Malibu, CA. Our staff consists of industry leading professionals dedicated to healing, inspiring, and changing lives.

As a Resident Advisor you are responsible for demonstrating professionalism when interacting with clients and their families while maintaining boundaries, modeling good sobriety, observing client behaviors, ensuring client safety, and facilitating the clients’ daily activities per the program schedule.

There are full-time and part-time shifts available; all require weekends.

• A.M. (7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) this shift available on weekends only

• Swing (3 p.m. -11:30 p.m.)

• Graveyard (11 p.m.-7:30 a.m.) – if applying for graveyards, you must have prior overnight experience

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

• CAADAC registered; preferably certified

• Proof of continuing education –as required to keep registration/certification

• Valid Class “C” Driver’s License and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on company property

• Ability to successfully pass a background check and urine analysis

• At least one year of sobriety if in recovery yourself

• Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; must be adequate for performance e.g. able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write clear and concise statements, move about the facility

• First aid/CPR certification, obtain within 90 days and maintain current thereafter

• Ability to confront behavioral changes, identify a crisis, and recognize when additional assistance is needed

• Ability to recognize personal recovery issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients

Plus Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a residential treatment setting

Salary/Benefits:

• Benefits offered to employees who successfully complete the Introductory Employment Period and regularly work thirty (30) hours or more per week

Resident Advisor Supervisor

Currently seeking a Resident Advisor Supervisor for our luxury drug and alcohol treatment center in Malibu, CA. Our staff consists of industry leading professionals dedicated to healing, inspiring, and changing lives.

As a Resident Advisor Supervisor, you are responsible for the overall completion of Resident Advisor duties. Resident Advisor duties include demonstrating professionalism when interacting with clients and their families while maintaining boundaries, modeling good sobriety, observing client behaviors, ensuring client safety, and facilitating the clients’ daily activities per the program schedule. You will perform the interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, disciplinary action, and evaluation of all the Resident Advisor staff; participate in the quality assurance of charts, maintain current employee docs and facilitate staff meetings, in-service trainings, and educational workshops. This is a full time position and weekends are required.

Skills/ Qualifications:

• High-school diploma or equivalent

• CAADAC certified

• Proof of continuing education –as required to keep certification

• Managerial experience

• Valid Class “C” Driver’s License and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on company property

• Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; must be adequate for performance e.g. able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write clear and concise statements, move about the facility

• Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional behavior

• Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff

• First aid/CPR certification, obtain within 90 days and maintain current thereafter

• Ability to confront behavioral changes, identify a crisis, and recognize when additional assistance is needed

• Ability to recognize personal recovery issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients

• Ability to summarize client feelings, expressions, resistance, and response to their treatment plan, goals, and objectives.

• 1 year minimum sober, if in recovery
