A Meaningful Recovery

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Drug recovery invariably begins with a personal choice. After all, drug rehab facilities don’t work by magic. They can’t heal patients who refuse to be healed, or help residents who refuse to walk through the front door. If you’re going to beat drug addiction, you’re going to have to make a personal commitment to the healing process. Short of that, you can’t ever expect to get where you need to go.

None of this is to say that drug treatment centers aren’t essential to addiction recovery. They very certainly are, especially insofar as they help clients develop the skills and self-esteem they need to master their demons. But that help is only meaningful if those clients put it to good use. If you’re here, reading this, you probably don’t need a lecture on the perils of addiction. Now you know what it takes to beat it. For your own sake, don’t wait any longer to finally start putting principle into practice.

Drug Addiction Takes Its Toll

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

There are plenty of choices in the market for drug addiction treatment in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, they aren’t all good ones. In fact, many “exclusive” drug addiction treatment centers are nothing of the sort . The moral, of course, is that you can’t believe everything you read in online brochures—and that you have to thoroughly research your options before you make a drug addiction treatment decision.

Many prospective patients struggle to distinguish one drug addiction treatment program from the next. Although there are a wide range of factors to consider, the most important is and must always be success. In the end, drug addiction treatment only matters to the extent that it promotes lasting and meaningful drug addiction recovery. The best drug addiction treatment facility, then, is the one whose patients achieve the best outcomes. If you let that principle guide your thinking in the decision-making process, everything else should take care of itself.
