California Drug Rehab Centers, the place to be

Monday, July 30th, 2007

I’ve been to a drug rehab center…big deal. It ain’t as crazy as people try to make it out to be. I mean you are there because you have a drug problem and you need drug rehab, and, yes, your problem has gotten that bad. But the cool thing is at least you have the guts to go and get help for your problems and that’s what it’s all about. When I went to a drug rehab center I was immediately immersed in the love and nurturing that I was getting from staff and other residents. It wasn’t like your average movie about a guy who gets all wacked out on drugs and then goes to some crazy, grimy drug rehab center. No, my experience was actually one of the greatest ones in my life. The people at the drug rehab center were always kind and courteous (even when I wasn’t) and gave me the respect that any man or woman would expect to receive. No one at the drug rehab center judged me or blamed me for what I had become, they just supported me the entire way to making myself into a better person. It was an enlightening experience for me to realize that there were people in the world that I never would have expected to share my problems with that were dealing with them on the same days that I was. It was great to know that someone cared enough to share their ups and downs with you too. The best part is that it all worked.

Drug Rehabs that offer catchall addiction cures…

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Drug rehabs aren’t all alike. Too many prospective drug patients make the mistake of assuminh that all drug rehabs must be more or less the same: that the glut of drug rehabs on the market is somehow indicative of generic universality, that every drug rehab must be able to meet the needs of it residents. Please, don’t make the same mistake. Drug rehabs, when you really get down to it, are no more alike than drug rehab patients…and only those addicts who get the care they need can ever expect to get sober for good. With so much riding on the outcome, you can’t afford not to do your homework before you start your drug rehab center search.

Successful drug rehabs are and can only be those which address the unique needs of their unique patients. Drug rehabs that offer catchall addiction cures…that trumpet “guaranteed,” one-size-fits-all plans…can’t help addicts get better. In choosing a drug rehab center, it’s vital that you be the guarantor of your own best interests. Remember, drug rehabs work by virtue of individual attention, and specially-tailored programs. Anything less just isn’t good enough.

Intervention, painful but can be a life saver

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Doing an intervention is no easy task. It’s never an easy thing to plan, but once all is said and done it can prove to be very effective. My buddy Mark had a very bad time with his addiction to meth. He first started doing meth at parties and recreationally before he eventually picked it up as a habit. I knew in my heart and my soul that Mark would be able to get it together on his own at his own pace. Unfortunate as it was, I turned out to be completely wrong. Mark’s addiction got worse and worse as time went on and everybody noticed it. We all got together and finally agreed to stage an intervention for Mark. It was hard at first when Mark told us all how he felt like we were ganging up on him. It was even more painful when we all shared how we felt about his addiction and how it was affecting each of us individually. It was a hard thing to do, but we were successful in getting Mark to agree to go to a drug treatment facility. Once it was all said and done the intervention, no matter how difficult it was, ended up being the greatest thing we could’ve done for my buddy Mark.

Luxury Alcohol Rehab saved my LIFE

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Some things are worth every penny. Luxury alcohol rehab is certainly one of them. Luxury alohol rehab saved my life, if you really want to know: helped me succeed where I’d failed so many times before. Luxury alcohol rehab worked for me after it had long since seemed like nothing ever would. If you give it a chance, it’ll do the same thing for you.

Luxury alcohol treatment is different than normal alcohol treatment. It just is. The plain truth is that we live in a world where money buys excellence…and the difference between luxury rehab and normal rehab is one of degree as much as of kind. Luxury rehab, like I said, saved my life: saved me from Myself, gave me the tools and support I needed to quit drinking for good. Normal rehab didn’t do it for me, not in any of the three times I tried to make it work. Finally, after I tried and tried and I tried, I gave luxury alcohol treatment a chance. And it was the best decision I ever made.

Luxury alcohol recovery isn’t cheap; I won’t try to mislead you about that. Again, though, some things are worth every penny. Luxury rehab that works gives you your life back, and helps you rediscover the world as you used to know it. In the end, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could ever put a price tag on that.

Recovery

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Recovery from drug or alcohol addiction is a long, and difficult
multi-stage process. After the first stage of recovery, detoxification
is completed, the second stage of begins: rehabilitation. This part of
the recovery process involves the continued evaluation and treatment of
any lingering physical or psychological symptoms not resolved during the
detoxification process.

This stage of recovery also is where the patient is rehabilitated and
given the tools needed to remain sober and re-enter society. Through
group and private therapy sessions, the mental foundations for recovery
are built. In these meetings, the recovering addict can find the support
needed to help suppress the cravings, and learn the skills necessary to
defeat their dependency.

Proper exercise and diet during the recovery process are essential.
Physical, and nutritional therapy aid in the
recovery process, by strengthening, nourishing and healing the body,
allowing the mind to function properly. With the body functioning
properly, the mind can begin to heal itself.

Rehabilitation is complete when all of these issues are dealt with and
the patient is healthy enough in body and mind to return to normal life.
Recovery doesn’t end with the completion of the rehab program though,
recovery is a life long battle. The physical and mental cravings may be
dormant, but they will always be there lurking in the subconscious,
waiting for the right time to surface. With the lessons learned during
rehab, and the aid of friends in the recovery community, the recovering
addict can fight the war of recovery with confidence.

These therapies are offered in a combination of individual therapy and group forums multiple times throughout the week.

Complete Psychiatric Evaluation

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Individuals with substance use or dependence problems often have a co-occurring mental health issue, which is commonly referred to as a “dual diagnosis.” In fact, some community surveys report that approximately 75 percent of men and 65 percent of women with a problem of substance abuse or dependence have an additional mental health diagnosis. Cliffside Malibu is a treatment center licensed for dually diagnosed individuals. We understand the alcohol/drug dependent person very often is actually attempting to medicate an underlying problem, such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD, that has gone unidentified for many years. By participating in a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation these other problems can be identified and treated concurrently while in our care. The treatment of underlying problems can be one of the key pieces to achieving lasting sobriety.

About the Psychiatric Evaluation

For many people this commitment can sound like an intimidating process. On the contrary it is a discussion between the individual and our psychiatrist in which information is gathered. During this discussion the psychiatrist is able to draw information from key areas that helps create an overall picture of the individual’s mental health. These areas include current and historical accounts of thought processes, moods and feelings, relationship styles, family history, and the individual’s understanding of what has worked and not worked in their life. Sometimes it is helpful for the psychiatrist to broaden the scope of their information gathering and include laboratory tests and information from family, spouses or friends. The laboratory tests help clarify if a physiological or organic problem is causing or supporting the mental health issue. The information provided by family, spouses or friends can help identify such things as genetic predisposition, changes in behavior that may be hard for the individual to notice, and historical information they not be aware of. Once a diagnostic picture is established by the psychiatrist all involved often feel a great sense of relief at the discovery and understanding of the underlying problems that have been affecting their loved one.

Private Drug Rehab

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Private drug rehab is always a possibility in the world in which we live. These
private drug rehab centers are usually nestled within the confines of some
serene locale, far away from the distraction of society’s general population.
Often times, private drug rehab centers can be found high in the mountains,
embedded in the side of cliffs, or on white sandy private beaches. These exotic
locations offer the sought after privacy of a true drug treatment center.

The best part of receiving private drug rehab is that most of these centers
offer a myriad of amenities. Addicts seeking recovery can find a number of first
class benefits available to them at most of these facilities. Some of these
benefits include professional chefs, massage therapists, chiropractors,
hypnotherapists, physical therapists and even physical trainers.

The holistic approach to private drug rehab is also a reality in our world today.
Many of these rehab centers offer spiritual counselors, yoga instructors,
and acupuncturists. Some centers actually go as far as to recruit the help
of tai chi masters and doctors of Chinese medicine. With such amenities in such
pristine locations it is plain to see that the benefits of receiving private
drug rehab far exceed those of a normal rehabilitation program.

Prevention

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

The benefits of prevention in any form can be very rewarding, safe, and
even profitable. Within the field of building and safety alone, our lives
are improved by stipulated standards of living created by years of fine
tuning safer practices. Ever increasing regulations on what a residence
requires have made prevention the key to a structurally functional
city. Another form of prevention is in regards to drug and alcohol
abuse. There are many programs, private and state funded, geared towards
assisting those in coming out of addiction. Although they may have the
same roots, drug and alcohol abuse are quite different. As a
result, comprehensive programs have been started for children at risk of
experimenting with drugs at an age when they are vulnerable. Many peoples’
addiction can be traced back to peer pressure at an early age, or perhaps
tried as an escape from a different kind of abuse, or mental illness. It
can also be traced back to family traits that are genetically
inherited.

In todays changing society, another form of prevention that has grown
over time, is for theft. Since the early beginnings of civilization,
antiquities, livestock, and even whole kingdoms have fallen victim to
the scourge of theft. Even as we moved into and pass the industrial
era the shadow of theft has
remained ever vigilant in thwarting the belief in human trust. Never has
this been so apparent than in the prohibition years. When outlawed to the
general public, bootleggers and crooked officials jumped at the chance to
supply the wealthy with such a profitable drug. Turf wars eventually
started as a result of robbery and space encroachment, leaving many
bodies in the wake of such clashes. As advances in science and technology
were made, so was the skill of theft, and the ever increasing gap between
rich and poor grew, so did crime. The consequences of theft can be
dire, being that a simple robbery could escalate into a homicide very
easily.

Out of all its forms, the sad thing is that prevention of theft is such a
high priority in todays world. It’s startling that often, it is more
likely that one would find a family in unsafe living conditions than a
car or building not having some kind of anti-theft device on the
premises.
