I started my career in the hospitality industry as a Captain trained by Rudi Riesch at the Decathlon Athletic Club, rated “5 Star 5 Diamond” while singing professionally at the U of M Opera. I then had the privilege of working at The Kahler in Rochester, rated “4 Star 4 Diamond”, with lavish rooms such as The Elizabeth Room and the Lord of Essex Lounge. I was the Maitre’d and entertained such dignitaries as Princess Faisal and her entourage, as well as Billy Graham and his wife. I also worked as a Maitre’d at the Camelot Restaurant in Minneapolis which was rated “5 Star 5 Diamond” in the Midwest. I have had the privilege of working under Michelle Richard, a famous chef and friend, at Citronelle in Santa Barbara as a Restaurant Manager. I have been honored with countless accolades from customers as well as employers. I had the privilege of working with wonderful people like Julia Child, the Sandford, and Fess Parkers’ family. America’s great contributions to the film industry, the Bridges Boys and the Douglas’ were frequent clients at Citronelle. |
