-Paramahansa Yogananda As a National Sales Director, with an extensive travel schedule for over 2 years, I was responsible for launching skin care products to department stores and the specialty retail market. I conducted operations for 150 stores nationwide and coordinated efforts with every position level within the companies. Prior to that, as Director of Operations for a worldwide hair care company, I expended a great deal of time and energy, generating a high level of success. A couple of years ago, however, I found myself exhausted. I discovered that I had lost my personal harmony. It had been years since I had free time to spend with my horses. All of my life horses have been a source of peace and inspiration as well as a guide to my self-awareness.  At an early age, I began observing the interaction between people and horses and quickly identified different physical human behaviors. Unknowingly, the many years spent watching people, prepared me for my successful career as a business executive. I engage many walks of life.  I am enamored to again be working with people and horses. While living in the Netherlands for over 5 years, I started Paards Te Leifde in The Hague, a horse rescue facility which lead to creating a horsemanship program for youth and adults alike. My clients were expatriates and native Dutch people. Returning home to the United States, I pursued my business and marketing talent, yet I dearly missed my horses. That is when I found the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association. Immediately captivated, I enrolled and became a Certified EAP Horse Professional. I have conducted and co-facilitated EAP sessions every week since then. In addition to my love of people and horses, it is important to me to play an intrinsic part in the welfare of others.  In this new ground-breaking form of therapy, uniting the treatment facility Clinical Staff and the professional EAP Treatment Team, we will strive to provide our clients with the opportunity to better understand and discover themselves through examples of the horse. |
