The best crisis intervention is the one that prompts an addict to enroll in a drug treatment facility. Period. There is no other goal of the intervention process, no other reason to conduct an addiction intervention in the first place. The addict you care about can only get better if he finds the courage to enroll in a drug treatment program. A crisis intervention that fails to help him develop it isn’t much of a crisis intervention at all.

Crisis interventions are never easy—there should be no confusion on that point. The good news, though, is that you don’t have to bear the burden alone. In fact, the right intervention specialist can make a world of difference to your intervention efforts. The catch, of course, is that you have to seek help. The crisis intervention services offered by exclusive drug treatment facilities really do save lives. It’s hard to imagine that any selling point could ever be more persuasive than that one.
