Rehab makes it all better
Private rehab is a scary thing. At least it was for me, the first day I checked into an exclusive Malibu rehab center. It’s hard enough being an alcoholic: coping with the chronic need, and the eternal angst. Heaping rehab on top of that…even luxury rehab at Cliffside Malibu, one of the best rehab facilities in Los Angeles…was just about more than I could take. After the first day of my rehab program, I was ready to quit. Thankfully I didn’t. Thankfully my rehab counselor talked me into sticking it out for a week. I did, even though it was hard. And it was the best decision I ever made.
Rehab is scary, sure…but it’s also a life-saver. A rehab center is an addict’s last best chance to get sober, after all; alcoholics don’t and can’t quit drinking without help from rehabilitation programs. As you ought to know by now, alcoholism is an overwhelming disease. Rehab can make it better. It really can. All you’ve got to do is stick it out.
